I took a page out of Pheobe from 'friends' book and recorded these vocals while I had a cold. I liked that it made me sound different, and feel liked it worked for the central character in the song.

The idea behind this song is an old man who is going through his regrets in life, and trying to explain how his behaviour came to be. I was definitely thinking about the perpetrators of the Ukraine war and Roe vs Wade trial which were simultaneously in the news at the time I was writing this. Someone on the CBC had described these men acting like 'wounded animals', so I ran with that.
